Associateship of King’s College (AKC)

Enhance your performance and impact your organisation

The AKC is at the heart of the King’s commitment to an international, interdisciplinary and innovative curriculum: it seeks to foster an understanding of different beliefs and cultures that can be taken into wider society. The programme is unique to King’s, and is the only course open
to all King’s students, as well as to staff and alumni. The AKC programme offers two series of academic lectures each year, on every campus. It is normally a three-year programme, designed to run alongside students’ main programme of study.

We are delighted to announce that the AKC is now being launched as a Distance Learning Programme available to King’s alumni.

The AKC is the original university award and has been taught since 1829. It has recently been expanded to include modules in Philosophy of Religion, and Ethics. Alumni who successfully complete three years of the AKC programme (the same regulations as for campus-based students) are eligible for election by the Academic Board, on behalf of the College Council, as Associates of King’s College London.

You will learn, apply, participate in, and reflect on the principles and lived experience of leadership through the sessions and an individual work-related project supported by a coach.
